+ What is IV Therapy?

It is estimated the human body consists of over 30 trillion individualized cells that live in a complex nutrient rich micro-environment essential for cellular function and metabolism. IV therapy is a minimally invasive procedure with a low side effect and risk profile in which vitamins, minerals, amino acids, powerful antioxidants, and other micro nutrients can be rapidly repleted or added right to this complex chemical environment to promote optimal cellular function and health.

+ Can't I just stick to my favorite oral vitamins?

You absolutely can, but they must travel through a rigorous digestive process where many of those beneficial nutrients are lost. Nutrition from food and oral supplements must first be digested in the stomach in a slurry of gastric enzymes and acids, further digested in the small intestine where some are absorbed with fats, additionally absorbed with water in the large intestine, eventually transported to the liver for processing and detoxification, and lastly distributed through your blood for final absorption by your cells. In a normal GI tract, most are processed for elimination and never made available for use. With IV infusion - 100% is made bioavailable right in the blood stream for immediate use by our cells.

+ Does it hurt?

Typically, very little to none at all. Everyone's tolerance is different; however, our seasoned registered nurses are highly skilled IV experts. AquafyIV strives to make each experience as comfortable as possible.

+ Is this safe, what are the side effects?

AquafyIV only sources the highest quality ingredients manufactured under the most stringent standards of FDA regulation. IV therapy is very safe. Minor side effects rarely occur if at all but may include bruising or bleeding at the IV site, a warming or cooling sensation in the arm, chest or stomach, a metallic taste sensation or having a vitamin odor in your urine. Our highly trained licensed providers are able to manage all side effects that may occur.

+ How quickly will I feel the effects?

IV therapy bypasses the GI tract allowing for complete, immediate absorption and use of the nutrients. Some of our cocktails are designed for an energy boost or symptom relief - these effects will be experienced within an hour of the treatment. Other treatment effects will be experienced over time such as speeding athletic recovery, shortening illness duration, detoxing or promoting anti-aging and beauty.

+ How long does it take?

Intramuscular injections and boosters can take as little as 5-10 minutes for those whose lives demand the most of them. Generally, IV therapy will take anywhere between 15-90 minutes. You will complete a quick electronic pretreatment history, we will guide you through treatment choices, then you can just sit back and relax in one of our oversized and overstuffed recliners in a beautiful and calming spa like atmosphere while enjoying the benefits of IV therapy. + Who will administer my IV?

You will only receive IV therapy from one of our seasoned, highly skilled and licensed Registered Nurses or Nurse Practitioners. At AquafyIV, our providers have over 60 years combined clinical practice experience in emergency medicine, perioperative care, intensive care, hospital medicine and academia.

+ How old do you have to be?

IV therapy is safe for all ages; however, we are only currently treating adults 18 years of age and older.

+ Should I consult with my doctor first?

You will undergo a thorough health screening, medication review and evaluation prior to receiving any IV therapy to ensure your safety. Our retail therapies are elective and do not require a physician's referral or note. However, we do offer advanced adjunctive provider directed therapies which include a consultation and evaluation by our on site nurse practitioner. Although not required, we would certainly encourage care planning with your primary provider to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.

+ How much do your treatments cost?

IV therapy starts at $60 and typically ranges from $99-$300 depending on your health goals and ingredients selected. AquafyIV will never sacrifice quality, safety, service, expertise or professionalism over costs. Certainly, the cost of wellness far outweighs the cost of illness. + Do you accept insurance?

We accept HSA and FSA payments! At this time there are a few treatments that may be reimbursed by your insurance as an out of network provider and we will provide you with all the documentation needed. We are currently working hard to contract with several insurance payors for expanded treatment coverage. We partner with your primary care provider, whether your own or here at AquafyIV, or your specialist to help you get the treatment that is right for you at an affordable cost - sometimes this means avoiding a hospital, urgent care or ER visit sparing you from those high co-pays or high deductible plan costs. We also offer resources to finance your care with 6-14 mo fee and interest fee for most applicants.

+ I'm pregnant, can I get IV Therapy?

If you are suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum (morning sickness), we can help. We can keep you out of the ER, get you feeling human again and help you get back on your feet. . Although not required, we would certainly encourage care planning with your OBGYN to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.

+ Can I bring my child or a friend?

Please do bring a friend especially if they are interested in IV therapy. Accompanying friends and family will be offered discounted IV therapy during your appointment if you are a member.

We are sorry, due to safety concerns and limited space children will not be allowed in the treatment area and must be accompanied by an adult who is not receiving service when in the clinic. Unattended children may be given espresso and a kitten. In all seriousness, this a spa like oasis to relax, recharge and rejuvenate while focusing on "me time". We appreciate your understanding.
